Ecomodo is a free tool for all your staff to use and start sharing. They simply need to sign up as a member, add items to lend and choose for each item whether they would like to lend it for free, for a fee or for charity.

The beauty of Ecomodo is it keeps visible, in one place, all the things people are willing to share. It saves time and keeps everyone abreast of the opportunities around them. Users can simply search for an item in their location and if it's not yet listed, they can post a wanted ad to simply tell others what they need to borrow.

To help your staff feel more comfortable about sharing, your organisation can choose to create trusted lending circles and invite staff to join to pool their assets. Using lending circles, your staff can automatically control who can borrow their gear - everyone or just people from their workplace. On top of this lenders can also opt for deposits to be taken or insurance for extra peace of mind. And a feedback system checks both parties are happy at the end of the lend. If one of your employees lends an item to fundraise for a good cause, every time it's borrowed, your organisation simply can choose to 'match' the amount raised.

Four simple steps to get started ..

1. Join Ecomodo
   The first step is to get your staff to join Ecomodo. It's free to sign up and only takes a minute. Once registered they'll be able to add items to lend, post wanted ads, create lending circles and invite others to join.




2. Create a lending circle
   Create a lending circle for your office and invite your staff to join. Each circle has a specific location so if your organistion has multiple locations, it's best to have people local to each office set up their own lending circle. Once your circle is set up you can add an icon, description, URL and choose to promote a good cause for your staff to donate to.




3. Add items to lend
   Adding items to lend is the best way to inspire others to join in, so find a few friends and add some stuff. Also consider is there is any spare equipment the company has that could also be lent out. A spare computer or spare chairs could be very useful to your local community. Perhaps add a hot-desk that a small local business could use from time to time. If you're not sure what to lend then get inspired or browse items to lend.




4. Promote ecomodo to your staff
   There are lots of easy ways to promote Ecomodo within your workplace.
