Like any community we have a set of core principles that must be followed by all our members. The following guidelines are here to help you understand what it is meant to be an Ecomodo member.

• Be punctual
  It can be very annoying waiting for others to show. Please always do your best to be on time to any meeting you arrange with another member.
  
  We do understand that sometimes things happen, so if you find you can no longer make a time as arranged or are running late, please get in touch with the other party to let them know and reschedule if necessary.


• Be clear and precise
  Whether you are describing an item or making an arrangement to collect, it is good to always be clear and precise in all your communications. This stops any misunderstandings that can lead to frustration.


• Use the loan sheet
  It is not compulsory to use the loan sheet to prove the collection or return of an item though we advise you do.


• Provide useful constructive feedback
  When providing feedback on Lenders, Borrowers or items, always be constructive. Other people use your feedback to decide whether they wish to deal with that member or borrow that item. Always think before you write.


• Keep it nice and clean
  So everyone can enjoy our service there are certain things that are prohibited to lend and borrow on Ecomodo. These include items of a sexual nature, fire arms, live animals and perishable items. For a full list please review our Rules for Lenders.
  
  If you see any item that you believe should not be listed please report it to us. We will then make a decision to remove it from the service.


• Use your common sense
  Before deciding to lend or borrow from another member be diligent and check out their feedback first. If you do not feel 100 % about them, then choose not to go ahead with the transaction. When arranging to meet another member of Ecomodo use your common sense and do not agree to anything you are not entirely happy doing.

• Don’t lend without permission
  Any items you advertise on Ecomodo must either be owned by you or you must have the permission of the owner or administrator in order to advertise and lend it.


• Don’t lend something of sentimental value
  If there is any item that you are worried about lending as you would be very upset if it got damaged or broken then please think very carefully before adding it to lend.


• Don’t infringe copyright
  Only use images and logos that belong to you or that you have the permission to use.


• Don’t waste other people's time
  Only send requests for items if you are serious about borrowing them.


• Don’t be a troll
  Don’t be rude, malicious or behave badly on Ecomodo.


• Don’t spam
  Don’t forget that people are busy and may not be able to respond to your requests or invites immediately. Be patient and don’t hassle others.


• Don’t solicit
  Don’t badger or solicit our members to join other communities outside of Ecomodo.

Your use of Ecomodo is subject to these guidelines and our terms of use. Failure to follow our guidelines may result in the termination of your account.
